The company develops High-Speed Steel (HSS) Annular Cutters using premium raw materials from Böhler Steel, one of the world’s most respected steel producers. Every BDS Annular Cutter is engineered using advanced CNC grinding centers and state-of-the-art robotic technology, ensuring maximum precision, durability, and consistent performance. BDS offers two main categories of annular cutters: High-Speed Steel (HSS) Annular Cutters and Tungsten Carbide Tipped (TCT) Annular Cutters. Both types are available in metric (mm) and imperial (inch) dimensions to suit global drilling standards.
HSS ANNULAR CUTTERS - PRECISION AND RELIABILITY
HSS Annular Cutters, also known as High-Speed Steel Core Drills, are the most widely used and trusted type of annular cutter worldwide. BOS engineers three variants of HSS annular cutters to meet different performance needs and material requirements:
HSS-Cobalt 8% Annular Cutters (M42)
Containing 8% cobalt for enhanced heat resistance, extended tool life, and excellent performance on harder materials.
HSS-VarioPLUS Annular Cutters (M2)
Featuring a special hard coating for smoother cutting in tough metals and longer durability.
HSS-Standard Annular Cutters (M2)

SIZES AND SHANK OPTIONS
Annular Cutters engineered in Germany by BDS Maschinen are designed for high-performance metal drilling. They are available in standard cutting depths of 30 mm, 55 mm, 75 mm, and 110 mm, with diameters ranging from 12 mm to 130 mm. Custom diameters and cutting lengths can also be manufactured on request to meet specific industrial requirements.
All BDS annular cutters are available in metric and inch (imperial) sizes to ensure compatibility with global drilling standards.
The standard shank configuration is Weldon, available in 19 mm (3/4″) and 32 mm (1-1/4″) sizes.
